Seasons of Book Blogging Tag

Hello, bookworms! I hope you are all enjoying the last hours of 2016 because we now can say goodbye to this very rude year...

Anyway, on Wordpress, I was tagged by Cristina from My Tiny Obsessions to do the Seasons of Book Blogging Tag! Thank you very much, Cristina!

Here's how it works:
  • Thank the creator (so she can see all of your answers!) and the person who tagged you.
  • Begin with the month in which you have been tagged and move forward from there!
  • State the best gift you’ve ever been given after you answer the question for your birthday month.
  • Tag whomever you’d like when you’re finished.. or else you’ll be “it” forever.
  • Have fun, of course!

So, thank you, J.Bookish, for creating this lovely tag!
Now, let's do this!

  • December is a time when friends and families come together and celebrate. Name one book you would give as a gift.
Of course that I would give Harry Potter and the Philsopher's Stone as a gift!!!

  • January begins a new year. Name a resolution you made this year and if you’ve kept it or not.
I set as my Goodreads goal 50 books when 2016. Then, I thought it would be impossible because it was on my 2nd semester of my first year as a college student and I knew that I would barely read this summer because I had people staying at my house, so I changed it for 35. Did I keep it? No, I didn't... I only read 24 books this year.... I feel so disappointed.

  • February is the month for relationships. Name your favourite book relationship: romantic, platonic or familial- your choice!
I really loved the familial relationship between Noah and Jude from I'll Give You the Sun, by Jandy Nelson. I loved how they overcame their problems together, even though they weren't really close for some years. But I am glad that, in the end, they started to understand each other's hearts.

  • March is the month for luck and new beginnings. Name a book or series that you would like to re-experience as if you’d never read it.
Let's not repeat Harry Potter, ok (LOL)? Well, I would like to re-experience The Hunger Games trilogy! Actually, I only read it once. I should read it again in 2017. Why not?

  • April is a spectacularly ordinary month. Name a book that was so over-hyped that it just could not live up to your expectations.
Everyone seems to love The Tiger's Curse series by Colleen Houck, but I really hated it... It has too many issues and I still don't get how many people love this series...

  • May is the month where flowers start to bloom. Name a book that was a pleasant surprise to you.
Daughter of Smoke and Bone, by Laini Taylor, was indeed a pleasant surprise! I loved Laini's writing because it's very poetic and beautiful. I also loved the world she created.

  • June is the time to take a break. Name a book or genre you like to read when you just need to check out.
YA Contemporary is a good genre for when I just want a light read!

  • July is the time to celebrate your independence! Name a book that made you see fireworks.
Eleanor & Park made me giggle and, therefore, I saw fireworks of happiness. However, it has some sad moments. But still... I giggled! I really did!

  • August is the hottest month of the year. Pick an up-and-coming author that you think will be the next hottest thing.
I have no idea...

  • September is the time for students to go back to school! Pick a book you read for school that you actually enjoyed.
I had to read Frankenstein for my second semester of college and I really enjoyed! Mary Shelley is truly a Queen!

  • October is a time to celebrate halloween! Pick one character that you would love to dress up as for halloween.
I would like to dress as Hermione Granger of course!

  • November is the month when we’re reminded of how much we have to be thankful for. Choose one book you’re grateful for having read and give a shout-out to the person who recommended it!
I don't want to mention Harry Potter again, so I chose The Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank. I read it when I was 13, 14 and it was probably my first non-fiction read and it opened my eyes, for sure. Anne Frank is an inspiration, no doubt.

Yayyyy! It's over! Let's see who I tag:

That's it for now, guys! See yaaaaa!!!

2017 POPSUGAR Reading Challenge

Hello, everyone! I hope you are doing well!

Today I want to share with you the famous Popsugar Reading Challenge. Every year, Popsugar creates a reading challenge so that readers that feel lost about what they are going to read next can follow the list Popsugar prepared!

For 2017, they did it in a different way. They still have 40 prompts for readers to follow, but they know that there are many fast readers out there, so they came up with other 12 prompts, a.k.a Advanced section. The goal is to read any kind of book, but by following the giving prompts.

If you want to share this experience with other people, you can follow Popsugar's Goodreads group, where they have supportive discussions and where people give ideas of books that you can read for each prompt. You can also use the hashtag #popsugarreadingchallenge on Instagram!

I think I will try this reading challenge. I have always wanted to participate in one, but I would always end up not doing it because I use college as a reason (ops). However, I really hope I read more in 2017 since I didn't really read much in 2016...

Who wants to participate in this reading challenge???

Here are the prompts:

If you follow these list, you will be able to read... 52 books!

P.S- DO YOU LOVE EXO? BECAUSE I DO! *heart eyes*

Hello!

Greetings, everyone! Welcome to my new bookish blog!

It's true, I no longer have a Wordpress blog, even though I will keep my account there so that I can still follow the bookish blogs I admire. I decided to change to Blogger because I thought I needed a fresh start since my other blog was pretty abandoned even before college started. Also, I wasn't really enjoying my experince on Wordpress. I really love the bookish blogger community, but I didn't really like the platform, you know? And since my Portuguese blog is also on Blogger, I decided that my English blog should be on Blogger as well.

I will posts some reviews and tags this week. For those who followed me on Wordpress, I hope you still enjoy my posts and follow my new blog. For those who just found this blog, welcome!
